Perry Electric is a third generation San Diego based electrical contractor who specializes in the installation, modification, removal and maintenance of traffic signals, street lighting, Highway lighting, communication systems and all related systems and support equipment. Quality, Efficiency and a meticulous attention to detail are the characteristics that have made Perry Electric the leader in our industry. Our History

The History of Perry Electric dates back to 1968

The History of Perry Electric dates back to 1968 when company founder James Perry decided to open a small electrical outfit here in San Diego.   James’s entrepreneurial vision was strong enough that he decided to go “all in” buying the trucks and equipment needed to run the business.

By the mid-seventies the company had grown and James Perry was eager to bring his son into the family business.  Fresh out of the Vietnam War, Hubert Perry began working with his father.   By 1978 Hubert was running the business.

Like his Father before him, Hubert had a strong desire to teach his son the family business.  Hubert’s son Todd M. Perry began working for Perry Electric at age 13.  Working in the field, Todd was quick to learn the ins and outs of the business.

By 1998 Todd Perry was ready to run the business himself.  A third generation electrical contractor, there are few with more expertise and connections within the industry.  Those connections were put to use when Todd assembled his crew.  Todd was very careful to only hire the “best of the best.” This best of the best mentality continues to allow Perry Electric to finish jobs faster than projected to this day.

Today, Perry Electric continues to serve the commercial electrical needs of San Diego as well as Imperial County.
